A. Improve Blog Bounce Rate- SUGGESTION: See where majority of the traffic is coming from: search engines, direct links, and social networking sites. Stubleupon.com, blogger.com, google.com (organic), and google (referral) have referred the blog.
-
Get People to Read the Blog by engaging them:
1. Comment On Blogs – Many bloggers are really good about returning a comment to your blog after you leave one on theirs, so by reading others blogs you will in essence get people reading your blog.
-
2. Join Blog Communities
This is the most common way now for all new bloggers to communicate with the large crowd of bloggers.
Blogcatalog allows you add buttons and widgets to improve your blog and lets you know who has viewed your site so that you can return it with a comment or a thank you!
Bumpzee has one of the largest communities and has a Reader Widget.
MyBlogLog makes it easy to make friends and has the ability to add a recent viewer widget and also a twitter on your bloglog and blog!
Fuelmyblog holds competitions and actively interacts with their users in their forum especially to be reviewed by John C on his "Friday blog review" You can add vote buttons. Pick one that you know you really/will be active in and really use it.
-
3. Create Google Alert using Gmail: http://www.google.com/alerts
Searches the Internet for a particular word and then sends an e-mail alert when the word is found.
Make several alerts. Two for the two blogs' names and others using the list of keywords (separate document) to get news about ADMSP from all sources.
You’ll get a nice e-mail in digest form telling you that your search word was used with a headline and then the first graph of the story or blog post. It includes a link (brilliant), so you can find out who linked to your blog and what was said. Then you can link back, and blog about that blog.
Good way to find out if a topic is getting a buzz if a bunch of the items in the digests are all about one topic.
- 4. Google Hot Trends
Google Hot Trends is a list of the hottest search terms in the top 100 Google searches. It’s a way to check what’s hot that day and if it’s something about our keywords (art, community, sculptures and so on) click on the word and read the blog and make a comment. BUT HERE IS THE KEY=Use the top 100 search words in your blogs/posterous posts for that week/day.
- 5. BLOG PULSE Index- I entered the 2 blogs in the their index. Use their search engine to see who is talking about topics of interest to ADMSP (art, community, sculptures and so on) and then read and make comments.
They haver other tools that will be good later.
- 6. MUST USE FEEDBURNER- See http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_use_feedburner_for_my_blog_rss.html
- NING
- DELMARYS- I want you to implement NING. My ideas are: A. Have a "reality type" communications campaign where everybody gets to see what we are doing and: 1. Can DISCUSS it; 2. Provide FEEDBACK; 3. that That we put into effect. B. Use it to import our blogs' RSS feeds. C. Let's create different groups: 1. People who love sculpture and who want to curate our exhibitions (must be clear only established artists from 19th, 20th, 21st centuries); 2. People who are concerned about the environment who want to tell us about the renewable materials we can use; 3. People who love butterflies who can tell us how we can grow the "Schaus Swallowtail" and the "Miami Blue?, 4. People who are community programmers who can tell us how we can run our community programs (art classes, fitness classes, park tours, entertainment and rentals); 5. People who are social workers who can tell us how we can run our social programs (single mothers, homeless, troubled youth, drug addiction, illness). 6. People who are web designers who can help us how to design a flash website with microwebsite components to create awareness of ADMSP; 7. People who are SEO experts who can help us with our SEO. Any other ideas?
-
Our next campaign will be for you ladies to talk, tweet, blog, post about what we did in the past 19 weeks online, what we learned, and what we want to do now (with everyone's input). DEE- I want you to link to other blogs that talk about peoples' work and their environments on you discuss sites.

1. Post photos to groups. Most Flickr members are active in groups where like-minded users post photos related to the group’s theme. We have some groups already but have not posted photos.
Take part in discussions in our groups. We currently have no tags in our photos. We need to add.
-
2. Use our web site address as our Flickr screen name., photo descriptions and tags. Our screen name will be attached to every photo you upload, every message you post in a Group discussion — everything you do on Flickr.
-
3. Take part in the Flickr community.
Comment on other photos you like, whether they’re related to our business or not.
Add great photos to our “Favorites” list.
Create more galleries
Every time you do one of these things, our screen name will show with your comment, with your discussion posts.
If you find a photo from another user in our area of interest is getting a lot of views and comments, add your own comment to get our screen name in front of a lot of eyeballs.
-
4. Include our logo on each set of pictures you put on our Flickr page as the first picture of the series.
- 5. Go to the App Garden http://www.flickr.com/services/ and see which apps would be cool to use.
